Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs

  • I’m based in California and provide therapy exclusively through secure telehealth at this time. You can attend sessions from anywhere in California, as long as you have a private, comfortable space and a stable internet connection.

  • My fee for traditional therapy sessions is $200 per session. Therapy intensives are billed at $250 per hour, with the total cost depending on the length and structure of the intensive. I’m happy to walk through current rates during a consultation so you have a clear understanding before moving forward. Superbills are available upon request for potential out-of-network reimbursement, and many clients use FSA or HSA funds to help cover the cost. Because coverage varies, I encourage you to check directly with your insurance provider to understand your specific benefits.

  • I do not accept insurance directly. This allows me to offer more personalized, flexible, and in-depth care without the limitations often required by insurance companies. I can provide a superbill upon request, which you may submit to your insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Many clients also use FSA or HSA funds to help cover the cost. Coverage varies by plan, so I encourage you to check directly with your insurance provider.

  • The consultation is a 20-minute phone or video call designed to help us see if we’re a good fit. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, what you’re hoping for, and which type of support might be most helpful. You’ll also have space to ask questions about my approach, logistics, and next steps.

  • The intake session is more in-depth. We’ll explore your history, current concerns, patterns you’ve noticed, and what you want your therapy to focus on. This session helps us build a foundation and begin shaping a treatment approach that feels intentional and supportive to what it is that you need. My hope is that you feel supported through our collaboration and to ensure that your voice and concerns are heard.

  • There’s no set timeline for healing. Some clients work with me short-term around a specific concern, while others choose longer-term therapy to address deeper patterns, trauma, or attachment wounds. We’ll regularly check in and adjust the pace based on your needs and goals.

  • I require at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Appointments canceled with less than 48 hours’ notice, as well as missed sessions, are subject to the full session fee. I understand that true emergencies and unexpected situations can happen—if this applies, please reach out as soon as possible so we can talk through next steps together.

  • At this time, I offer therapy exclusively via telehealth. Many clients find virtual therapy to be just as effective—if not more convenient—while allowing greater flexibility and comfort.

  • Yes. EMDR can be done effectively through telehealth using secure platforms and adapted bilateral stimulation methods. I’ll guide you through the process step-by-step to ensure it feels safe, grounded, and supportive.
